Launch of ‘The Political Economy of Debt’ Report

Arutha hosted a roundtable discussion on its newly launched report, The Political Economy of Debt, featuring Prof. Mick Moore, a political economist from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex. The event provided an expert overview of the global political economy of debt and its implications for developing economies, alongside an in-depth analysis of the report’s findings by Yolani Fernando, Executive Director, and Umesh Moramudali, Director – Debt Research. A panel discussion followed, with contributions from Prof. Mick Moore and Dr. Paras Kharel, one of the report’s authors. The event welcomed participants from civil society, think tanks, and diplomatic personnel.
